Hypnosis Tapes for Weight Loss
Though I know better it still surprises me how conditioned we become, which is demonstrated every time a client tells me they listen to my hypnosis tapes for weight loss. I haven't made or listened to a tape, which before CDs were cassette tapes, in at least 3-4 years. And because every client I work with is given my 2 hypnosis CD set for weight loss and instructed to listen to them as part of their program I know they don't have hypnosis tapes for weight loss, they have my CDs!
Sometimes I joke a bit while at the same time making a point and reframing the client who says, "And I'm listening to your hypnosis tapes for weight loss and practicing self hypnosis." I reply with something like, "Oh, well I better be sure Nancy gives you my CDs before you leave today. Those hypnotists tapes for weight loss aren't as clear to listen to and are old. I'm surprised we still have some around." I smile and they say, "I mean the CDs." This also gives me a chance to point out how conditioned we are and we consciously aren't even aware of some of the things we say and do, like the unhealthy eating patterns that motivated them to come see me in the first place.
When I was recording hypnosis tapes for weight loss and other issues it was a much more difficult task as the process was longer and the quality wasn't as good as digital recording. It is amazing how quickly electronics improve be it cell phones, computers or digital audio. I even remember when I was in high school and we had 8-track tape decks and tapes. Now that was frustration squared though it was still progress in its day. When I think about the hypnosis tapes for weight loss I've created and the tapes for other titles, which I am actually looking at a stack of right now here under my recording gear next to my computer, I wonder why I have yet to throw them all away. Though the hypnosis tapes for weight loss I still have were what Marc listened to, the pastry chef I worked with during the Dateline NBC 10 month program I was a part of, and he had great results using them, I can't use them anymore. It's possible to record the tapes onto a CD but it would still have the dull audio quality. I guess I'm going to have to once and for all make the move and clear out the hypnosis tapes for weight loss. Then again, seeing that I have the 4-track cassette tape recording gear I used to make the tapes and a variety of top quality cassette decks, maybe I'll store it all away and let my son hold onto it so when he gets older he may have some "old fashioned" recording gear that people will be surprised to see and hear. I'll have to ponder than idea as I drive to my hypnosis weight loss New York presentation.
