Hypnosis Recordings

It's not only a true benefit to a person's life to use hypnosis recordings for personal change but it's also fun to do. Sometimes I wish I had more time to devote to creating hypnosis audio programs because I do really enjoy the process. I know there is potential to help more people I would otherwise never meet and I'm also able to use the creative part of me that I enjoy. Creating hypnosis recordings can also be fun as they have such a range in topics and subject matter.

What I teach people who are in my profession what I think is the most important and overlooked part is to sit with the hypnosis recordings after they are completed and use them like a client or customer would. It's amazing how what you think you accomplished on the hypnosis recordings may not be exactly true. I recall a time when I didn't pick up on a noise that was on the audio. I recorded the vocal and background music tracks, mixed them and burned a CD. Then I sat quietly with headphones and as I drifted into a different level of awareness I heard a sound that wasn't supposed to be on the hypnosis recordings. As I moved during the vocal recording the cross I sometimes wear on a chain around my neck moved and it got picked up by the sensitive microphone I use. It made an abrupt sound that made me remix the tracks so I could edit that out. If I didn't sit and listen like any client or customer was going to I would not have picked up on that and I'm sure people would have returned the hypnosis recordings with that noise on them.

Another thing that's important is to not over do it. Too many people who create hypnosis recordings speak in what they think is a "hypnotic voice" and use too many sound effects like deep reverb or echo. There is no exact voice, just speak as you speak but in a calm manner and the last thing we really want to hear is that it sounds like the hypnosis recordings were recorded in a cave or deep cavern. The way the language patterns are created is the main key as to whether or not they hypnosis recordings will have any effect, not the sound of the voice or the special effects available when mixing. Just like in most things in life, use the KISS formula. Keep it sweet and simple. Of course certain background sounds mixed in with the voice can be very helpful in guiding deep relaxation but there's no need to go overboard with these backing tracks either. The simple yet effective hypnosis recordings will be the best self hypnosis audios rather than the overproduced self indulgent recordings.
