Spring Brings Weight Loss Fever

Spring is here and weight loss is on the mind of more people. As the layers of clothing are removed, the layers of winter fat remain. And though we all know there are tremendous health benefits to release the fat from our bodies, most people’s primary reason for weight loss is to look good and to feel good about themselves. I only have one caution you must keep in mind…

Avoid dieting and any quick fix approach when losing weight. We are not meant to “diet” but to eat healthy and listen to our appetite. Eat healthy food when hungry and stop when the hunger feeling is gone, not when you feel the need to unbutton your pants to make more room.

Impatience will cause problems. What is most important is to start changing the way you think and feel about food. It’s not a comfort, nor a friend and unhealthy eating habits are only going to create further problems down the road. One helpful thing to do is stay away from all the hype, advertisements and information about weight loss we are bombarded with. It’s safe to say we all know how to lose weight. Eat healthy food in healthy portions and be active… exercise, go out and play, move your body and have fun.

The time is now… the warmer weather is coming and will be here soon. Start now and enjoy the warm part of spring and summer and feel confident to wear less clothes and look better.
