Researchers at University of Chicago Medical Center recently reported… “Suppression of slow-wave sleep in healthy young adults significantly decreases their ability to regulate blood-sugar levels and increases the risk of type 2 diabetes.”
The keyword here is “deep”. It’s not simply a matter of spending enough hours in bed at some level of sleep but important to reach a deep level of sleep. The report went on to say: “This study found that after only three nights of selective slow-wave sleep suppression, young healthy subjects became less sensitive to insulin… The decrease in insulin sensitivity was comparable to that caused by gaining 20 to 30 pounds.”
Therefore, even if you eat healthy, feel good and are not 20, 30 or more pounds overweight, without sleeping deeply enough there can be a health risk. Deep Sleep Audio System may be the key..
