January 4th, 2008 marked the 4th annual World Hypnotism Day with hypnosis based events and presentations hosted around the world on 5 continents by professional hypnotists. Television, radio, newspaper and internet based coverage created a media wave of creating awareness to the general public of the truth and benefits of hypnotism.
The hundreds of live events that took place around the world gave people the opportunity to learn about hypnotism first hand. These events took place in a variety of venues from hotel ballrooms, colleges, hospitals, book stores and hypnotist’s offices. There were also free and discounted hypnosis sessions offered by hypnotists from New York to China allowing people to experience an authentic hypnosis session.
Participating hypnotists in support of World Hypnotism Day presented live events across the U.S.A., Canada, Singapore, India, Ireland, Denmark, Germany, Australia, China, England, Hong Kong, and Norway. Internet teleseminars, blogs, podcasts and videos got the message to thousands of people 24 hours a day.
27 Proclamations – January 4th was proclaimed World Hypnotism Day by Mayors, Selectmen and City Commissioners in US states and Canada. Thank you to all hypnotists and government officials involved, helping hypnotism to become more recognized and accepted.Thank you to all the volunteer contributions by everyone on World Hypnotism Day Committees that make the resources possible and to all the professional hypnotists around the world who continue to support hypnotism and making World Hypnotism Day the biggest single hypnosis event on the planet.
