Pride & Confidence with Hypnosis

Today I want to share something both personal and helpful. First, the personal part of today’s blog post. Some of you know I am a working musician and have been playing music for 37 years. And my musical partner Larry Novak, the other part of 2 Much, has been doing this almost as long.
We both began playing out, as it’s called, doing club gigs with cover rock bands before we could drive. It was the coolest thing to be 15 and be playing the club scene. As long as my grades were on the honors list, my parents were fine with it.
Well, this past weekend 2 Much played at a fundraiser for my cousin, Bill MacDonald. It was a tremendous event with a turnout of about 350 people, held in the Grand Ballroom at the Danversport Yacht Club. Now the thing I haven’t mentioned is that my son Jesse, who turned 15 in September (we have the same birthday… how cool) asked me to give him guitar lessons last year. With only a year of playing time and guidance from yours truly, Jesse has done so well, that I thought it would be such a perfect opportunity to have Jesse sit in with 2 Much for his first live appearance… so he did. The picture above shows Larry on keyboards, me on lead guitar and Jesse playing rhythm guitar. The actual song we are doing in the picture is Smooth by Santana. Not such an easy task for a rookie.
You might imagine how difficult it could be to make your first on stage appearance with 2 seasoned players, one of them your dad, and family members in the audience as well as hundreds of strangers. But, Jesse was confident and relaxed and played his part perfectly… no, really, he did. It’s not because I’m blinded with pride, my ears work well even though he is my son.
Now for the helpful part, how this relates to you. Has there been a situation that you wished you had done but lacked the confidence? Ever wished you had more self esteem? Did you ever regret not doing something, anything, because emotionally you were held back? It’s very common but not necessary.
More and more people are learning just how easily and comfortably you can increase confidence to be better at sports, business, public speaking, academics, and in many personal areas.
Oh, there is one thing I didn’t mention. Jesse too has one of a few rules like I had when I was a young musician. Maintaining his honors level academics is one, which he does. Maybe because he has used my hypnosis CDs for academics and confidence. And if you want to know if they worked, just look up …  ”a picture’s worth a thousand words.”
