I recently returned from a 2 day trip at the Shepard facility in Atlanta, GA where they work with spinal cord injuries. It was amazing to see and humbling as well. You never realize how precious the simple things are, like scratching an itch, standing up or feeding yourself.

I was there visiting a cousin, Bill MacDonald, who had a work related accident that has left him quadriplegic, however, who knows what the future has in store. I had created a couple of hypnosis CD’s for him and we did a few sessions while I was there. The amazing thing is, his head is all he has to help him. He controls his wheelchair by tapping different parts of the headrest. However, it’s what’s in his head that is his greatest asset, his mind.

Can you imagine, after the hypnosis session he responded, “I could feel that through my entire body.” I’m not saying the hypnosis session made his body react physically, but it’s the response he got subconsciously, which is what will motivate possible healing and improvement. As we have learned during the test of time and research, many things happen that medically “aren’t suppose to.” If anyone is going to experience the small miracles that happen, it’s Bill.

All I can say is regardless of what’s happening in your life, what problems there may be or difficulties that arise, it could be much worse. Appreciate the simple things we take for granted. More on this in the near future…
